I’m in Hawaii!

Just kidding, but this skirt really makes me feel like I am! The orange hibiscus and blue palm leaves have such good contrast here. I’ve always liked cobalt blue for clothing highlights (as you’ve seen in previous posts). I also think that coral and cobalt blue make a wonderful pairing – a pastel and bold together to stay feminine and turn heads.

My hopes for this blog are: 1) To curate my wardrobe a bit more now that I’m not in college anymore!, 2) To be more aware of how I present myself, and 3) To have fun and meet other fashion & floral aficionados.

Something I’m hoping to do more is thrift shop. I found this skirt at a Buffalo Exchange when I was visiting Chicago. I used to think that I wanted to mimic a certain style, but in high school or college, I’d end up finding the same pieces as my friend whenever I bought clothes from H&M or Forever 21! There’s nothing wrong with those places – but it’s definitely hard to stand out in fashion if you’re always following the trend. Whenever I thrift shop, I’m able to find pieces and restyle them or mix and match, and I know it’s harder to be duplicated.

Thanks for reading!

  1. You really make it seem so easy with your prsneetation but I find this topic to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

  2. Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic but I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest authoring a blog article or vice-versa? My site covers a lot of the same topics as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other. If you might be interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Wonderful blog by the way!
